We would advise against J-1 visa Work & Travel extension attempts. Should you choose to proceed with the process of extending your visa ICEO will be unable to further sponsor your J-1 visa, as the Work & Travel Program is authorized to operate only under the designated dates described under Dates and Details. Upon signing into the ICEO Work & Travel Program you are agreeing to return to your home country once your program dates have expired. ICEO and the US government recognize this as a legally binding contract and thus, it is virtually impossible to extend your stay and change your status. Should you be attempting to do so ICEO will be unable to assist you in this process.
