Dates and Deadlines



ICEO Work & Travel Program eligible students may work no longer than a period of 4 months in the United States and are eligible for an optional travel period once their program has ended of no more than 30 days. Eligible students may participate in the ICEO Work & Travel Program during their appropriate summer university break under the following US seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer - under the following guidelines:

  • Winter: November 15th - April 15th Southern Hemisphere students (all participating countries below equator)
  • Spring: Dates vary (usually March to June) Students primarily from Asian countries (ie: Thailand)
  • Summer: June 1st - October 19th Northern Hemisphere students (all participating countries above equator)

ICEO strives to submit all Employment Confirmation Letters at least 3 weeks after the interview with the employer in the participant's home country and the DS 2019 form 6 weeks after the submission of all complete and accurate documents, followed by confirmation of full payment conducted.

Participants should submit their flight information to not only their recruiting agency, if they have independently booked their flight arrangements, but also supply ICEO with this information, as well.

All ICEO Work & Travel Program participants are allowed to legally work within the dates provided in box 3 of the DS-2019 form and as stamped on the I-94 card. Working outside of those dates is considered illegal and could lead to legal consequences.
